Fed sees rate at 4.1% at end of 2026

The United States Federal Reserve shared in its latest economic projections on Wednesday that it sees the federal funds rate at 4.1% at the end of this year, up from the June projection of 3.8%. The forecast for 2027 and 2028 was raised by 0.5 percentage points to 4.1% and 3.9%, respectively.
