US GDP Rises 2.2% in Q2

The US gross domestic product (GDP) rose 2.2% year over year in the second quarter of 2026, according to the third estimate released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis on Wednesday. The reading was higher than the second estimate of 1.5%.

The report noted that the increase in real GDP was driven by consumer spending, investment, and exports, while imports also increased and were counted as a subtraction from GDP.
